Letter to the reader

Into Thin Air

Dear Reader:

Captain Kelsey O'Roark is certain she witnessed a young man's death. But the body has vanished and there isn't a shred of evidence to confirm what she knows happened that night in her warehouse. As the logistics officer at Fort Belvoir, she realizes she'll need help if she's going to unravel the mystery of what happened and why. She turns to the one person she knows will have the ability to make sense of her memories, Major Julian Fordham of the Criminal Investigation Division. Unfortunately, she and Julian have a history together that ended the previous year when he couldn't handle what they'd begun to feel for each other and she had to let him go, despite her broken heart.

I hope you enjoy reading Kelsey's and Julian's story as he finds his way past the emotional wounds of his childhood while Kelsey copes with a sister whose needs threaten to distract her from her duty to pursue the truth. And if you're an animal lover like me, you'll fall in love with the two dogs and one cat that enliven the lives of these determined and loving people.

Visit my gallery to see photographs of the real Bella and Buddy. You'll see why I had to feature them in this newest tale of love in the military.
