AN OFFICER AND A HERO.
This is one whale of a story -- I learned a lot about JAG through
the story of Kaitlin McCord and Daniel Wilson. I love the story
so much that I had to read straight through to the end. Fantastic!
This story really moved at a fast pace to keep the interest avid
and all I can say is WoW!

THE COLONEL AND THE KID
Assigned to help Russian Colonel Viktor Baturnov navigate Washington,
D.C., U.S. Army Captain Natalie Wentworth quickly finds herself
enmeshed in his fight to save his son. As they work to forestall
disaster Natalie begins to fall in love with THE COLONEL AND THE
KID (4). But is their love enough to save her career and his life?
Elizabeth Ashtree fashions a refreshing tale of love versus espionage
featuring a very enticing hero, a spirited heroine and fascinating
secondary players.

A Russian officer, an irresistible little boy, a dedicated member
of the Pentagon protocol office and strong thread of intrigue
combine to make THE COLONEL AND THE KID, part of the 'In Uniform'
series, an exciting and heartwarming story. . . . Plot twists
enhance the romance and help to push Viktor and Natalie into admitting
their love. . . . Alexander's surgery and recuperation provide
tense moments and underline the feelings of fright, despair, love
and relief over a child's illness that I imagine every parent
with a critically ill child must go through. Natalie's mother
is a funny character that adds to Natalie's struggle with her
conscience and provides comic relief. . . . the tense international
intrigue that provides the conflict in the last half of the book
left me with tingles. I just could not put down this story until
I knew that all ended well. . . . Intrigue, delight in a child's
pleasure, great romance, a strong hero and heroine and strong
characters are the ingredients that make THE COLONEL AND THE KID
a delightful read.

When choices of the heart clash with military rigidity -- Very
highly recommended. THE COLONEL AND THE KID by Elizabeth Ashtree
will tug at readers' hearts. . . . The pressure created by the
child's illness, and the willingness to sacrifice anything to
save him becomes a strong motivation to bring two military people
from opposite sides of the world together. Secondary characters
are also vividly realized, with a well meaning mother whose frequent
phone calls seem timed to drive Natalie crazy. . . . Ashtree's
resolution to the conflict doesn't disappoint, making THE COLONEL
AND THE KID a terrific read. Very highly recommended.

A CAPTAIN'S HONOR
. . . Elizabeth Ashtree's A CAPTAIN'S HONOR, deals with real
issues faced by women in the military. . . .
--Pamela Cohen, Romantic Times
Highly recommended. . . . Author Elizabeth Ashtree pens a powerful
tale of honor in the military with A CAPTAIN'S HONOR. Women who
have endured sexual harassment will find themselves impressed
by Ashtree's careful rendering of such a devastating crime. .
. . Rachel's struggles to cope with such a challenging assignment
will keep the pages turning. Nate's ambivalence over his role
in bringing her into such a difficult situation will likewise
strike a sympathetic cord with readers. A memorable military romance,
A CAPTAIN'S HONOR comes highly recommended.
