Dedication:
To the men and women of the United
States Armed Force who put their lives on the line every
day to keep us all safe at home. And to every person standing
against sexual harassment in its many forms.
Dear Reader:
While the traditions of honor and
integrity that make up an officers training usually produce
the most trustworthy individuals in society, there are a
few without scruples who slip by the rigorous oversight
of their superiors. They don't usually go unnoticed for
long. Eventually, even a general-gone-bad will be thwarted
by those who are determined to maintain the sanctity of
the officer corps. But the cost of bringing down an amoral
general can be very high.
So it is with Chief Warrant Officer Rachel Southwell and
Captain Nathan Fordham, who must put a stop to their commanding
General's sexual harassment. If things go wrong and the
General dodges their attempt to bring him to justice, they
could lose their careers and they could lose each other.
But nothing will keep them from doing what honor demands.
The general must be stopped. Together, they take on the
daunting task, embarking on one of the most challenging
missions of their military careersBand find themselves victims
to love even as they triumph over staggering odds.
I hope Rachel's and Nathan's story means as much to you
as it does to me.
